BAN BACON
I GUESS, FROM A WRITERLY POINT OF VIEW, I might have suggested adding “…ban bacon by dinner time” for rhetorical flourish.
BUT OTHERWISE, I have no quarrel with ALAN GRAYSON:
That is all.

I think he’s right, we should ban bacon.

Thank you, congressman . . . now I’m off to have a BLT . . . with extra bacon.

Hello Everyone:
Here is an e-mail I sent to President Obama:
“Dear President Obama:
If you are planning to, please do not eat another bacon-lettuce-and tomato sandwich (BLT). According to a moving video picture I just saw starring a very angry but nice congressman, the Republican Party will ban bacon if they find out you have eaten another BLT sandwich. I would be very very sad if this happened, because I like BLT sandwiches very very much and eat them every single day. If the Republican Party banned bacon, we would have to call them LT sandwiches, which does not sound very appetizing to me.
Maybe if you put something like boiled spinach, green peppers, or eggplant in your sandwiches instead of bacon, that would be better, because I would not mind it if the Republican Party banned those three unpleasant foodstuffs.
Thank you for your help.
Hugh Lafferty”

Okay, that was awesome. Reminds me of a cartoon I saw a couple of months ago in which Obama comes on TV and announces that breathing is great and everyone should do it. The republicans all hold their breath and die.

I thought you should know that the term “hairlip” is a very derogatory term for a cleft lip. I hope you will donate some of your profits to the Smile Train as your penance.
