IMPLAUSIBLY ENOUGH

THANK YOU, everyone, for making the TODAY-IN-THE-PAST-CAST the number 2 best “selling” podcast on iTunes, IMPLAUSIBLY ENOUGH.

I AM VERY GRATEFUL.

HOWEVER, I realize that some of you may be saying:

“I LIKE ALL THESE FAKE FACTS, but I am sorry that I cannot pay money for them, and also hear them all at once, FOR HOURS.”

SO I WOULD BE REMISS in not pointing out that the ENTIRETY of “Today In The Past” is also included on the full AUDIOBACK EDITION of the book.

NOT TO MENTION:

MANY MORE FAKE FACTS

INCREDIBLE GUESTS including Coulton! Maddow! F Tompkins! Dick Cavett! Ira Glass! Vowell! Galifianakis! Gervais!

AND YOUR NARRATOR: Paul Rudd.

AND ALSO: 700 mole-man names, recorded before a live studio audience, UNDER THE GROUND.

SERIOUSLY: I am very proud of this effort, and especially the effort of the astonishing actual talents who made it happen, IMPLAUSIBLY ENOUGH.

AND I WOULD BE REMISS in not pointing this out, since some do not seem to believe it.

BUT NOW I WILL SAY NO MORE

That is all.

THANK YOU, 700 TIMES

IT WAS A LOVELY EVENING, and I am grateful to all of you who sat underground with me and endured the 700 mole-man names.

IT ALL WENT BY SO FAST, thanks to your kind attention.

That is all.

SEE YOU IN TWO HOURS, UNDER THE GROUND

SEE YOU IN TWO HOURS, in the underground parlours of THE UNION HALL, for 700 mole-man names.

MEANWHILE, MR. @BlackCasper526, of Twitter, reminds us of this handy list (and many illustrations), for those who prefer to follow at home.

WISE SOULS

That is all.

SEVEN HUNDRED MOLE-MAN NAMES

COURTESY: Mr. Marcus Parcus

COURTESY: Mr. Marcus Parcus

I APOLOGIZE AGAIN FOR HAVING TO ABRUPTLY CANCEL tomorrow night’s live recitation of “700 Mole-Man Names.”

PLEASE ALLOW ME NOW TO ABRUPTLY ANNOUNCE: we have now rescheduled.

ON SUNDAY NIGHT, JUNE 7, at 9:30 PM, I will read 700 Mole-Man names aloud into a microphone,

WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY, Jonathan Coulton will appropriately be playing “THE WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN“, an 18th century folksong, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

THIS WILL OCCUR AT UNION HALL, in Park Slope, NY, directly after Eugene Mirman’s fine comedy show. It is located at 702 Union Street, near 5th Avenue. DIRECTIONS MAY BE FOUND HERE.

IT IS THE SISTER VENUE of The Bell House, our former venue, and we are grateful to them for hastily accommodating us.

WHILE THE UNION HALL STAGE IS CONSIDERABLY SMALLER than the Bell House, it is, at least, UNDERGROUND.

IT WILL COST 10 dollars, in order to encourage you to REALLY, REALLY THINK about whether you want to actually sit quietly through approximately 100 minutes of Mole-Man names and their occupations, an 18th century folksong, some beer, and NOTHING ELSE.

SERIOUSLY.

IF THIS STILL SEEMS FUN TO YOU, tickets may be purchased HERE.

WHATEVER DECISION YOU MAKE, I am grateful to you.

THAT IS ALL.

ZERO HUNDRED MOLE-MAN NAMES

I HAVE SOME NEWS, which some of you may interpret as “BAD”

I WILL NOT be reading the 700 Mole-Man Names live at the Bell House next week as planned.

UNFORTUNATELY, television shooting schedules will make this impossible.

WE WILL RESCHEDULE this event for some time later this year.

FOR NOW, if you bought tickets, they will be refunded. And please do think of the BELL HOUSE for all your future drinking/band-watching/bell-housing needs, as they were very gracious to offer the space.

I APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, which some of you may interpret as “the convenience of not having to listen to 700 mole-man names.

That is all.
