I began a course at Nine University just over 3 years ago and it has been an amazing experience. The course which I studied with them taught us how to successfully launch an Amazon FBA business and -touch wood – everything has been going very well so far. Today I don’t necessarily want to talk about what Nine University were able to offer me but more broadly about studying online and how to get the most out of it.
There are so many benefits to studying online such as being able to study whenever you want and from wherever you like, and it is something which I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who wishes to further their knowledge and education. Should you do so, here is how to make the most out of it.
Discipline
I cannot stress enough how important it is to be as self-disciplined as you possibly can, this is not like being at school or university where you have something hanging over you at all times, the success of your studies will be down to two much effort and work you are willing to put in. What makes an course slightly tricky is that you are going to have all manner of distractions around the home and you will have to stay strong and ignore them in order to do well. I found that creating a schedule was the best way of helping me stick to me studies, and then lock yourself away in a quiet space to get it done.
Spread The Word
Something which I learned in the first few months of the course was that many friends and family didn’t really understand that I was studying. This makes sense in retrospect, after all they didn’t see me with materials or heading off to a lecture, and because it was all online they perhaps thought I was just learning a hobby. It is however important that you let people know what you are doing and that you are taking this course seriously. People asking you to go out or do them favors when you should be studying put you in a tough spot, which is why letting them know first is going to be the best idea.
Do It Right Away
I had some work to complete by a certain date and decided that I would put it off for a few days, which quickly became a few weeks. I had one week left to complete the work and I got sick, and ended up having to try as best as I could to do it, despite feeling absolutely terrible. That week was horrendous and not only because of the illness, which is how I learned that you should always aim to do the work well ahead of time in case anything comes up. Something can come up at any time, and of course it always will when you least want it to.
Studying online makes perfect sense, just be sure to follow these tips in order to make the best of it.
